paraSite was launched 1st november 2000 as part of protocollision* a work by stefan kunzmann & gabriëlle marks, paraSite was entrenched in its host i.e. the sites of other participants of protocollision, and gathered data. it existed and developed, grew or regressed according to frequency and order of visits to these sites. this current version of paraSite enables you to see all the transitions of paraSite over a 1 year period, from November 2000 till November 2001. *protocollision was an online art project featuring the work of 10 artists from the Netherlands and Japan.
